Kobundo-ato, a Tunnel Built 140 Years Ago

In order to develop the agriculture in the area, this tunnel was built 140 years ago as an abbreviation of Kaburai River, which branches off Yoro River. It was named Kobundo (Kobun-cave) because it flowed through an area that was related to the Kobun emperor and was widely known as a scenic point as well as a fishing spot; however, since 1979 the entrance has been damaged.
