In order to develop the agriculture in the area, this tunnel was built 140 years ago as an abbreviation of Kaburai River, which branches off Yoro River. It was named Kobundo (Kobun-cave) because it flowed through an area that was related to the Kobun emperor and was widely known as a scenic point as well as a fishing spot; however, since 1979 the entrance has been damaged.

The red bridge near Prefectural road 81 was built across the Yoro River in order to reach Shusse Kannon. About a 15-minute walk after crossing the bridge will bring you to Yorozan Rikkoku-ji, where Shusse Kannon stands. This temple supposedly has powers to bring not only success ("shusse") but also good fortune and good encounters.

This is one of the largest of the famous waterfalls in the Boso peninsula and is a total of 100-meter in length with a 30-meter fall. It is a feminine waterfall, in which the clear water slides down quietly like silk over smooth layers of rocks. It has a beautiful harmony with the vegetation on both sides and attracts a lot of families during the summer.

The area surrounding Mt. Daifukuyama, which stands overlooking Yoro Valley, is also very popular as a hiking spot. During spring, flowers such as iwatsutsuji (type of azalea) and wisteria bloom; during summer, you can refresh by walking through the river; autumn brings colored leaves and icicles form in winter. It is also known to be where autumn leaves change color the latest within Honshu.

Aside from providing information regarding Yoro Valley tourism, the center also sells local specialties and bento (lunch boxes), and also has restaurants that open on holidays. The specialties shitake (Japanese mushroom) croquette and futomaki sushi with fun designs are especially popular among both locals and tourists.
