Uzumasa, the place where the history of Japanese movies began, is called the Hollywood of Japan. To preserve the birthplace of Japanese movies, theme park Toei Uzumasa Eigamura was built. In Eigamura, there are film sets for samurai dramas that replicate appearances of old Japanese towns. Since there are ongoing film shoots, you can see sword fights right in front of you. It is a popular sightseeing spot that includes “Jidaigeki-funso-no-yakata,” where you can enjoy authentic cosplay of samurai dramas, many rides, as well as shows and events featuring Japanese action superheroes.
