Tambara Lavender Park

The Tambara Lavender Park boasts the largest lavender fields in the Kanto area with around 50,000 flowers in a vast area of 200,000m2. There are a wide variety of lavenders that bloom throughout the flowering season, so no matter when you visit you’ll be able to enjoy beautiful scenery. Inside of the park, there are lots of other attractions to see like day lily fields, the sunflower zone, Tanbo Land playground, and so on. (Park opens from late June to early September.)

Flower fields around lavender

In the park, there are beautiful flower fields to see other than the lavender like the Color Hill, the Sunflower Zone, and the Day Lily Plaza. Especially popular as a photo spot is the red salvia flowers planted in the shape of a heart called the “Heart Field” that lies right in the center of a lavender field.

Enjoy a tour through the sky by the lifts

In the park, you can also enjoy a tour through the sky on the 700 m long “Summer Mountain Lift” that offers beautiful views of the flowers. When you think of lifts, you may expect daunting heights, but the lifts in Tambara Lavender Park are relatively low and we recommend them for even kids as well as those with a little fear of heights! (Lifts only run during the summer season.)

Popular sweets made with lavender

Located in the center of the park is Tambara Kitchen where you can eat some of the famous lavender ice cream! The harmony of the rich milk and refreshing lavender makes for a brilliant treat that will sell over 1,000 cones a day and around 60,000 cones throughout the season.
