Susukino

Susukino is situated in the center of Sapporo, Hokkaido. This area spreads from Susukino Station on Subway Namboku Line and Hosui-Susukino Station on Subway Toho Line. It is a red-light district where many restaurants and clubs stand. Furthermore, there are also many big commercial centers and hotels. Therefore, many tourist from all around the world visit here every year. Since it is close to Sapporo TV Tower and Sapporo Clock Tower, you can walk in this area and see famous sightseeing spots of Sapporo.

One of the three biggest red-light districts in Japan

Susukino is known as one of Japan's three biggest red-light districts after Kabukicho in Tokyo and Nakasu in Fukuoka. There are in total of 4,500 restaurants and clubs in the center of Susukino. Therefore, the place is animated until late at night.

Tanukikoji

Situated between Susukino and Odori Park, Tanukikoji is one of the oldest commercial streets in Hokkaido with more than 100 years of history. This 900 m long shopping arcade has about 200 stores. It is a popular spot among tourists, where they buy local products of Hokkaido at the store, Dosan-shokusai HUG. They also enjoy tasting food made of local products in restaurants and take-out shops.

Ganso Sapporo Ramen Yokocho

Ganso Sapporo Ramen Yokocho is a street where approx. 15 ramen restaurants stand. In fact, it is said to be the birthplace of the internationally popular Sapporo ramen. Each restaurant serves its original ramen. Ramen made with seafood of Hokkaido is popular among tourists.

Nakajima Park

On the south of Susukino lies Nakajima park with many trees and flowers. Inside this park, there is a Japanese garden and a tea house built during the Edo period. On top of that, you can also visit the Western-style building, Hoheikan, built at the beginning of the Meiji period. Furthermore, Astronomical Observatory, Concert Hall, Hokkaido Museum of Literature and Children's Center are also available. It is a relaxing place for citizens of Sapporo.

NORBESA

The complex "NORBESA" has become a landmark of Susukino as the only building in Hokkaido that has a Ferris wheel on the roof of the building. As a result, you can enjoy the view of Sapporo from 78 m above the ground. There are restaurants, karaoke bars, a bowling center inside the building. You can spend a whole day here.
