Sunmesse Nichinan in Nichinan, Miyazaki, is a theme park located in the hilly area of Nichinan Kaigan (Coast) with a beautiful view. Sunmesse Nichinan's symbol is the only Moai in the world that was recreated with the special permission from the mayor of the municipality of the Easter Island. The scenery with the seven statues of Moai reaching 5.5m in height looks like the vista of Easter Island. There are restaurants and shops, a guest ranch, and a hot spring so that people of all ages can enjoy.

The Moai is the symbol of Sunmesse Michinan, the perfectly recreated seven figures, of which the original ones are one of the Seven Wonders of the World. People say that each has its power related to work, health, love, general luck, marriage, money, and academics, in order from left to right.

Moai-misaki Bokujo (Cape Moai Ranch) / Fureai Bokujo (Petting Ranch)

If you go downhill from the Moai, you will find Moai-misaki Bokujo (Cape Moai Ranch) and Fureai Ranch (Petting Ranch), where 10 kinds of animals, sheep, cows, deer and others live to get along with each other. If you go in the ranch over the bars, soon the animals come close to you. Children will love it.

Enjoy Yakuseki-yoku (Medical Stone Spa)

Sunmesse Nichinan has the medical stone spa, Mo・Ai Arashino-yu, where you can relieve the weariness of your journey. The medical stone spa is like a mist sauna; they spray hot spring water on 15 kinds of heated mineral ores in a room kept at 45℃. This is said to have an effect on atopy, asthma, and low back ache.
