SENT JAMES CLUB Pontocho

(Source : 食べログ)
Located on a second floor of a traditional Kyoto-style house, SENT JAMES CLUB Pontocho has a hidden bar-like feel. After passing through a black curtain and ascending the stone staircase, you will see a traditional Japanese-style space consisting of tatami mat (straw mat), stone and wood. You will enjoy the full bar in a tranquil Japanese atmosphere. It has a wide range of menu items, including various whisky and cocktails. You will experience authentic chic Kyoto in this bar.

A Japanese-Style Full Bar

Tatami mats are laid in a dimly lit room. It is a Japanese-style room, but the horigotatsu (sunken area for your legs) allows you to stretch your legs like a regular table seating. A faint light passes through shoji screens (wooden panel with Washi paper) behind the seat making a subdued Japanese ambiance.
