Usa City located in Oita Prefecture is a popular area for sightseeing known for such spots as a shrine with a history dating all the way back to the year 725, as well as the only safari park in all of Kyushu. Of course we can’t forget the local delicacy of “Usa karaage” fried chicken! There are tons of karaage (Japanese-style fried chicken) shops in Usa City where many are fighting for the top spot. Of all the different shops you can find offering “Usa karaage”, we would like to introduce the one known as the birthplace of it all, Rairaiken which is a long-standing Chinese restaurant that draws customers from afar often making for long lines due to its popularity.
