Oshokujidokoro Ajishin is a Japanese-style restaurant offering a wide range of unique dishes that are special in Akan area, such as dishes cooked with local Ezo-deer meat and garlic called Gyouja-ninniku. There are as many as 50 items on its menu, including Akan Yakitori-don (980 yen), which is a bowl of rice topped with skewered chicken marinated in homemade sauce, ramen, curry, and soba (buckwheat noodles)! The Akan Yakitori-don is regarded as one of the special gourmet dishes in Akan area. Mohito (650 yen) used Cladophra balls known as Marimo, a speciality of Lake Akan, as a motif is also popular. The restaurant is favored by locals too.
