Nishizawa valley

Nishizawa valley is a well-known beautiful valley in the national park on the border of Yamanashi, Nagano, and Saitama. It has a lot of waterfalls and you will see great views of clear water flowing on beautiful rocks one after another. Rich nature such as rhododendrons around May, tender green leaves in early summer, and especially autumn leaves in fall are famous. It has many titles in Japan like "The best 100 waterfalls in Japan", "The best 100 forest water sources", "The best 100 forest for forest bathing".

A beautiful valley with flowing clear water

This valley has very clear water which flows on beautiful, white granite. The water flows has curved rocks into a lot of waterfalls and each of them are in artistic shapes. Surrounded by a deep forest, it's great place for forest bathing.

A symbol of Nishizawa valley, Nanatsugama godan no taki

This is a waterfall with a very beautiful view with flowing clear water gradually falling in sequences. In Nishizawa valley with many high spots, Nanatsugama godan no taki is especially the most magnificent and famous. Water pockets glow in blue green and everyone pauses for a moment and stares at them.

Great autumn leaves and very popular among hikers

Nishizawa valley is also familiar for its beautiful autumn leaves and the great view is often used in posters or calendars. While there are 27 kind of maples in Japan, 25 of them are in Nishizawa valley. You can see autumn leaves of maple, beech, and other many kind of trees.
