Nishiki-no-Hama Beach

It is a popular beach located conveniently within less than one hour from downtown Osaka. Several kinds of marine sports such as wind surfing and jet-ski can be enjoyed here. Every summer, the beach is crowded with many people including young people and families. You can enjoy clamming from the middle of April to the beginning of June, while sea bathing from July to August. The meaning of the word “Nishiki” (two colors) suggests the green of pine trees that line up on the coastline for about 1 km and white of the sand. Its beautiful scenery has been well known for a long time. It is also listed in the top 100 green landscapes in Osaka Prefecture.

You can enjoy sea bathing from the beginning of July to the end of August at Nishiki Shirahama every year. It is a popular beach conveniently located within easy access from downtown Osaka. A lot of people including families and young people visit this beach. There is also a facility for barbecue nearby.

Nishiki-no-hama has a stunning view of the sun setting into Osaka bay. Even during the off-season, many people visit here to stroll around or take photos. The neighboring park, Nishiki-no-hama Park has a green area that is a base of marine activities like jet-skiing.

Enjoy Clamming at the Beach within Easy Access

You can enjoy clamming from spring to early summer, from the middle of April to the beginning of June (with charge). It is relaxing to dig in the sand for clams with the crisp salty smell of the sea at Nishiki-no-hama. Don't worry if you can't find much clams. Although you need to pay some admission fee, you will get some clams to take home.
