Sensoji (temple) is a famous sightseeing spot in Tokyo and many international as well as local tourists visit this ancient spot. Nakamise, one of the oldest shopping streets in Japan, stretches in front of Sensoji all the way to its main gate. Nakamise is 250 meters long with a total of 89 stores lining both sides of the narrow street; it is a wonderland for Tokyo souvenirs filled with attractive products. Enjoy snacks from Japanese confectioneries including dango (sweet dumplings), and manju (sweet buns), before you visit Sensoji!

One of the best sightseeing spots in Tokyo where over 30 million people visit every year. Since there is a huge lantern at the entrance of the approach, it is a prime spot for taking pictures. Once you go through the Kaminarimon gate, you will see Nakamise, and behind Nakamise, you will see the must-see spots such as the main building of Sensoji and the five-story pagoda. At night, Sensoji is lit up in warm lights and you can enjoy a different aspect of it.

Daikokuya

An old tendon (rice bowl dish with tempura) shop established in 1887, located in Asakusa. First of all, you will be amazed at how large the tendon is. The popular dish is shrimp tendon, with many big shrimp tempura all over, the rice is almost hidden beneath. Deep-fried tempura in sesame oil with sweet-spicy sauce is their specialty. They have maintained this unique taste since they started business.

At night, Nakamise takes on a different look. The lively atmosphere changes, it is lit up by warm lights and produces an elegant appearance. The shutters of the stores are 380 meters long painted with different artwork and entertain the visitor’s eyes.
