Located within an 8-minute walk from JR Beppu station, Minamimaru Nemu is a locally popular seafood restaurant run by the owner who currently is a fisherman. They have a wide variety of dishes on the menu including sashimi and nizakana (stewed fish) using the local fresh seafood, and Oita-famous Toriten. Among them, our recommendation is seki saba and seki aji dishes that the owner fishes himself. Here you can enjoy ikezukuri sashimi plate and bozushi (rod-shaped pressed sushi) that use plenty of the branded fish of Oita prefecture at a reasonable price.
