The spacious lawn measures approx. 3 hectares. It is actually the largest plaza in all the prefectural parks in Chiba. Therefore, many events are organized here. On this plaza, there is a symbol of the park, "flower clock." It is a very cute and beautiful flower clock around which different flowers bloom each season.

This approx. 1.6 hectares large Japanese garden is created, so many people, from inside and outside of Japan, would see Japanese traditional culture. It is constructed after the style that features a pond in the middle called "chisen kaiyushiki." Surrounding the pond, a mountain, river, sea, forest are recreated. You can enjoy the natural beauty of the scenery and meticulous designs of the park.

You can have matcha with a sweet of the season at the tea room "Shoraitei." Built from Kitayama cedar trees of Kyoto, it is a quiet tea room, which has koma (small room), hiroma (large room) and ryurei-seki (a place where you can have tea while seated). Tea ceremonies and haiku gatherings are also organized here.
