One of Kitakata's two main streets, Fureai-dori is a spot where you can enjoy sightseeing and shopping at the same time. Kura houses are lined up on both sides of the street, including museums, exhibits and even a Kitakata Ramen museum.

Bus "Burarin-go" has a one-day free pass (500 yen), velo-taxis will take you around the city on a cycle, and the most recommended is the kura-carriage for tourists. You will feel like a king if you sit on the second floor. Even though it is limited to spring, it is a great way to slowly explore the city of kura. (Adults 1,500 yen, children 1,000 yen)
