KAWAII MONSTER CAFE

(Source : )
Just opened in 2015 in Harajuku, a fashion hub introducing the latest trends, this cafe is like a theme park that converted the KAWAII, or cute, culture into real life. Since the cafe is produced by Sebastian Masuda, a well-known art director of music videos for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu (popular artist within and outside of Japan), it is the right place to come in touch with the latest Japanese pop culture. You can sit and relax at one of the four colorful areas. Each area is like a scene out of a fantasy or Sci-Fi movie.

Monster Girls

Five “Monster Girls” guide you through the cafe. Each girl is dressed based on a concept like DOLLY, BABY, CRAZY, and some can speak English, so you don’t need to worry. Some staff can speak Chinese and Korean too!

Colorful Rainbow Pasta (Painter) Dip

This peperoncino fresh pasta was created from the idea “What would happen if we painted inside our mouths with pasta?” It is eaten with five kinds of dips that look like paint (1,300 yen).

Chocolate chicken, more, amore

A combination of crispy grilled chicken and chocolate sauce, which is seasoned with spices and goes surprisingly well with the chicken. The bar of chocolate on the side is a dessert (950 yen).
