Panorama from 120 meters above sea level
In Kamaishi Daikannon, Gyoran observatory is situated on the 12th floor. Situated 120 meters above sea level, you can see a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and the Sanriku coast, which is registered as a national park. It might be difficult to climb the stairs up to the 12th floor, but you will not regret once you see the wonderful view!

Guanyin Statues and Seven Lucky Gods
Inside the Kamaishi Daikannon, there are 33 wooden statues of Guanyin and a statue of Seven Lucky Gods known to bring good luck. As you climb up the spiral staircase while observing the statues, you will have a zen experience as you relax and feel calm.

The stone of a miracle
In front of the elevator entrance, which brings you to Kamaishi Daikannon at the hilltop, there is a stone called "The stone of a miracle." This stone is has miraculously stayed intact in an area which was largely destroyed by the tsunami following the Great East Japan Earthquake. Inside this stone, there are crystals, known as spiritual stones. As a result, it is said that you will get lucky if you touch this "stone of a miracle."

Stupa
Near the feet of Kamaishi Daikannon, there is a stupa enshrining Buddha's ashes. These ashes come from Sri Lanka, a beautiful country far from Japan. Next to the stupa is Kanahebisui enshrining the gods of money. Many people come to this spiritual power spot.
