The fall foliage here can be enjoyed for a long period, usually from the end of September to the end of October. Maples, beeches, and oaks color the mountain in red and yellow. The Okama Crater near the summit of Mt. Zao Katsuta and Zao Mountain Range covered with fall leaves are breathtaking.
