Hakone Gora Summer Festival Daimonji Yaki
Daimonji Yaki are ceremonial bonfires to welcome ancestors’ spirits in mid-August. Daimonji Yaki of Hakone Gora Summer Festival is annually held on August 16. Fireworks are set off at the same time as when the bonfires are lit. This is one of summer traditions of Hakone.
