Jigoku-mushi Kobo Kannawa

Jigoku-mushi Kobo Kannawa is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Beppu, Oita; more than 100,000 tourists visit annually. Beppu is one of the most famous hot spring resorts and is blessed by the largest number of hot springs in Japan. Kannawa Onsen is one of eight different springs in Beppu and many tourists enjoy visiting them. Kannawa onsen is famous for a facility called Jigoku (hell) that uses the steam from the hot spring. At Jigoku-mushi Kobo Kannawa, you can enjoy Jigoku-mushi dishes. All the ingredients are steamed in one sitting, using hot spring heat of about 98 degrees celsius. You can also enjoy an onsen foot bath next to the facility for free. Do not forget to visit the foot bath!
