The shortest Jigokudani circuit path takes only 10 minutes to go around. If you have the time and physical strength, you can go farther to Oyunuma.

Oyunuma is an volcanic crater pond on Mt. Hiyori, 1 km in circumference and is steaming hot with water at a temperature of 50℃. Be careful not to slip in, because it's hotter as you go deeper. There is a walking trail leading to the observatory.
