Ibaraki Flower Park

In Ibaraki Flower Park, various flowers bloom in the 30-hectare area. Their number one appeal is the 30,000 roses of 800 varieties. The flowers are in various colors and shapes, and the park is known as a prominent rose garden in the Kanto area. Besides roses, there are many seasonal flowers such as peony, hydrangea and Japanese iris, so visitors can enjoy different flowers all year around. In the park, there are also many attractions including the wheel sled slide and flower cycling which you can ride on the cycle coaster in mid-air. This is the theme park of flowers and greens where you can enjoy the appeal of flowers in many ways.

Rose Terrace and Rose Breeding Park

The largest highlight of Flower Park is Rose Terrace where 30,000 roses bloom. The roses are separated by colors in an open space, and a colorful landscape extends in front of your eyes. In the Rose Breeding Park, there are 600 breeds of roses. The flower bed is filled with various roses from standard breeds to rare ones. The season of roses is from the end of May to the beginning of November. (In summer, they are pruned.)

Hydrangea Garden

Hydrangea Garden, which is the second largest area in the park, has 3,500 hydrangeas bloom. Of course, you can see hydrangeas up close planted in the forest, and also hydrangeas blooming on the slope is a must see. The season of hydrangea is from mid-June to the beginning of July.

Peony Garden

3,500 of 200 breeds of peony decorate the park from the end of April to the beginning of May. Enjoy the beautiful peonies which fills the slope with a pond in the background or observing each beautiful flower carefully.

Flower Slide

The Flower Slide located in Fureai no Mori, is a spectacular ride on which you can slide down the 800-meter slope with a wheeled sled and it is said to reach a maximum speed of 40 km/h. The flowers decorate both sides of the slide.
