Hana-Ichi is a seafood restaurant located in Omiya Ichiba, one of the largest markets in the Kanto region, and was founded in 1971. The most famous dish on the menu is the set including loads of tuna with the “maguro nakaochi-don” (rice bowl made with tuna meat scraped from the bones) as well as “ebi-fry” (fried prawns) and “kani-jiru” (crab soup) (2,250 yen). Believe it or not, if you win a round of Jan-ken, the Japanese version of “rock, scissors, paper” against the staff between the hours of 11:00 - 12:00 or between 17:00 - 19:00, you can have the set for a discount price of 1,080 yen and enjoy it with four pieces of fried prawns! Since this restaurant is located in the center of a major market, tons of other great varieties of seafood can also be found on the menu.
