To fully enjoy what the Gunma Safari Park has to offer, we highly recommend the feeding bus tour! This bus allows you to get right up close to animals you normally wouldn’t like lions and large herbivores which you can feed treats from inside of the bus. You’ll surely be amazed by the power of the giant lions’ jaws that bites into the meat.

The Walking Safari Zone allows you to feed animals like goats and see the various angles of others like tigers and cheetahs. Seeing the animals come right up to the glass in front of you will make quite an impression! Wolf Forest where you can find many wolves is also a very popular area of the park.

At the Bird Zone and Little Farm in the park, you can find lots of other animals such as flamingos, squirrel monkeys, lesser pandas, and ponies. In addition to the “Flying Show” in the Bird Park featuring birds like hawks and large parakeets, you can also enjoy riding ponies in the Little Farm.

Every year from the limited season of April to October, night safari is open in the Gunma Safari Park. On this safari that begins after sundown, you can see lots of nocturnal animals up close that are usually inactive during the day.

In the Gunma Safari Park, you can find the only Sumatran elephants in Japan. The two Sumatran elephants found in the Asia Zone which were presents from the sister affiliated Gunma Safari Park in Indonesia in 2014 are one of the most popular attractions in the zoo!

Annexed to the Gunma Safari Park is an amusement park. There are lots of attractions available like a Ferris wheel that offers sweeping views of the safari zones and animal motif roller coasters that are sure to get the kids excited. All the attractions in the park are reasonably priced at 200 yen per ride.
