The outer moat surrounds the park, and the inner moat surrounds the hill at the center of the park. Since this castle had been built before they started stonewalling castles, Dorui, the bank made of soil, still remains as it used to be surrounding the castle.

Yuzuki Castle Museum and Buke-yashiki (Old Samurai Residence) to Learn about the Castle's Prosperity
The Yuzuki Castle Museum exhibits documents, unearthed objects, and a miniature of a recreated castle. You can learn about samurai's life at that time. Right next to the museum, there is a recreated old samurai residence, which has also recreated furnishing goods and people's models at those times. You will know how prosperous the castle used to be.

Observatory to Overlook the City of Matsuyama
The hill at the center of the park where the castle used to stand is an observatory to overlook Matsuyama city. It is a superb viewpoint: Dogo Onsengai (hot spring town) is on the north side, the urban area is on the west side, the suburbs of Matsuyama is on the south, and you can see Matsuyama Castle. The night view is lovely, too, which not many people know.
