Daidoen is a Korean-style barbecue restaurant that serves Morioka Reimen, a local specialty in Morioka, Iwate Prefecture. It also has been known for its Korean-style barbecue since it opened more than 40 years ago. The dish they are proud of is the Morioka Reimen, made with the noodles hand kneaded after the order is placed. The soup made from beef tendon, beef and chicken bones is served with cabbage and radish kimchi. It tastes light, yet at the same time, quite rich highlighting the ingredients' flavors. The harmony of this soup and freshly made chewy noodles makes a great bowl. They also serve exquisite meat such as “Maesawa beef”, a brand beef in Iwate and other high-quality beef produced in nearby areas. Although it is a Korean-style barbecue restaurant, it is okay just to enjoy Reimen.
