Café & Restaurant Ashima

Ashima is a long-established restaurant with a history starting 1989, located in Minakami Onsen Town, Gunma. The restaurant offers western dishes. Its interior provides a relaxed atmosphere like a mountain lodge in Europe. The restaurant is always crowded. Its most famous specialty is “yaki (grilled) curry”, homemade curry topped with a local egg and cheese and grilled in an oven until it becomes hot! Many customers come here just to have this curry. Because the curry became so popular, the owner opened a second restaurant specialized in “yaki curry” in Gunma in 2016!
