This restaurant is famous for serving fresh river fish that are farm-raised near the restaurant! The river fish are extra fresh, because they are taken out of the water after an order has been made. Because they are also raised in clean spring water, they don't have the strong smell that river fish usually have. As a result, you can even enjoy them uncooked as sashimi.

I strongly recommend that you try "Masuen set menu" (2,420 yen) in which you can try popular dishes of this restaurant: grilled salted char, rainbow trout cooked in sweet sauce and in sashimi, and fried masu trout, etc. The chewy fish meat of rainbow trout tastes amazing particularly in sashimi!

Another recommendation is "Iwana set menu" (1,650 yen) in which you can taste several dishes made of char, including grilled salted char and char cooked in sweet sauce! Both dishes with char go perfectly with the homegrown rice, cultivated with great care by the owner's family!
