Aji-no-ryogoku is a diner where you can enjoy meat dishes with Ezo-deer inhabiting in Hokkaido. The diner runs a guest house on the second floor. Its specialty is a deer don (1,500 yen), which is a bowl of rice topped with Ezo-deer meat grilled with sweet and salty sauce. You can also have teppanyaki with Ezo-deer meat (2,300 yen), which is deer meat grilled on an iron plate, Wakasagi Tempura (1,200 yen), which is small freshwater fish coated with a batter and deep-fried, and Japanese soba (from 800 yen), which is buckwheat noodles. The diner is very popular among locals too. You can enjoy carefully-prepared Ezo-deer meet without any acquired flavor. The diner offers dishes blow 3,500 yen and was awarded Bib Gourmand for a restaurant with good cost performance in the 2012 Michelin Guide Hokkaido Special Edition.
