Aganogawa River Boat Ride

Situated in the north of Niigata, Aganogawa river is one of the biggest rivers in Japan, measuring approx. 210 km long. Aganogawa river runs from the area called Okuaga from which it goes through a valley surrounded by many trees. This beautiful view is chosen as one of the 100 Landscapes of Japan. Although you can observe the same view by walking on the banks of the river, we recommend that you observe it from the boat! There are two boats - Aganogawa Line Boat Ride and Okuaga Pleasure Cruise - that go down Aganogawa river. These are great rides to enjoy the beautiful valley in different seasons.

From spring to summer, the valleys are covered in green trees. In fall, leaves change their colors and turn red and yellow. In winter, the place will be covered in snow.
