Yubanzai Komameya, Nishiki Branch

Yubanzai Komameya, Nishiki Branch

(Source : 食べログ)
This is a yuba creation restaurant produced by yuba specialty store Ueda Yuba-ten. Yuba is a dish made out of the thin layer that forms on top of soy milk when heated and is one of Kyoto's specialties. This is a popular restaurant where you can enjoy yuba cuisine carefully prepared by experienced artisan chefs at reasonable prices. It also has a wide variety on the menu, from inexpensive donburi (rice bowl with toppings) and a la carte to fancy lunch courses using typical Kyoto ingredients. Every dish includes yuba, okara - made through the process of tofu-making, and soy milk.

Relaxing Interior

The wood used for the tabletop is natural solid wood and gives a warm feel. All seats are in a horigotatsu (low table to sit on the floor with hollow legroom), so that you can dine comfortably as if sitting on a chair even in a Japanese ambiance.  Relax and enjoy the gourmet of Kyoto.
