Tomonotsu Museum + Café is a cafe located beside the museum of modern arts, Tomonotsu Museum, which was completed in 2012. It is a reformed 150-year-old warehouse and its interiors are made with wood creating a warm atmosphere. This is a somewhat Japanese-style cafe where you can get some time to relax. Their homemade pancake is popular. They also exhibit artistic ornaments and sell miscellaneous goods in the cafe.

This Cafe is a Reformed 150-year-old Warehouse

The cafe used to originally be a warehouse of soy sauce. The interiors made of wood maintain the retro atmosphere and also create a chick and comfortable feel. This is the best spot for taking a rest after visiting the museum.

The Adjacent Building is an Unconventional Museum of Modern Arts

The neighboring “Tomonotsu Museum” completed in 2012 exhibits external art works. This is also a reformed warehouse having a Japanese-modern atmosphere, and its mud wall, beams, and columns are preserved as they were at that time.
