Takagiya Roho is a long-established Japanese confectionery shop located on the approach to Shibamata Taishakuten (temple). Their signature kusa dango (mugwort dumpling) and shio senbei (salted rice cracker) are wonderful snacks. They also offer savory dishes like oden (stewed fishcakes, radish, boiled eggs, etc.,) and chameshi (rice cooked with tea) and sweets. The actors and the crew of the popular Japanese movie series "Otoko wa tsurai yo," set in Shibamata Taishakuten, were regulars in this shop. They have takeout as well.
