Sukehachi-zushi is a restaurant known as an originator of Maesawa-gyu nigiri, hand-rolled beef sushi using the brand beef of Iwate Prefecture. Maesawa-gyu nigiri was first made more than 20 years ago. Matured, sweet beef is grilled and put on top of hand-rolled rice just like other sushi. Maesawa beef is one of the best brands of beef in Japan which has tender and sweet meat. You can also enjoy Maesawa beef as sukiyaki or shabushabu (a type of Japanese hot pot).
