Several old folk houses where you can see Okinawa's culture

In the old folk house area, you can see how Okinawa looked like 100 years ago. There are various buildings and places chosen as tangible cultural property, including normal folk houses, lord's houses and the place where festivals took place. Sometime you can hear the music played with Okinawa's instruments, sansen and drums, while you are visiting inside the park. You can also see how ancient people used to create sugar from sugar cane by carried by water buffalo.

Plenty of experience-based activities!

In Ryukyu-mura, there are various experience-based activities. You can rent costumes from Ryukyu kingdom. You can try Okinawa's traditional instrument, "sansen". In addition, you can create a hand-made Okinawa's seesa statue or cook Okinawa's home meal, "Sata andagi (sweet deep-fried bum)". It would be a great experience, so I hope you try it.
