Ryogoku Takahashi

The shop was opened as a futon (Japanese bedding) store at the beginning of the Taisho Period. When the business started, they made a zabuton (floor cushion) for a sumo wrestler to sit at the ringside during the season. This is how they started their business to deal with sumo-related goods. The sumo-themed towels, washcloths, or stationery are great for souvenirs. If you prefer more authentic sumo goods, the ranking board or  sumo wrestler's sandals might be good. Since it's close to Kokugikan (sumo arena), it's better for you to drop by before watching the match.
