Best Night View of Tokyo

Tokyo City View is an observation deck, situated on the 52nd floor of Roppongi Hills, 250 meters above sea level, that overlooks the city of Tokyo. You can see not only Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Skytree, but even Mt. Fuji at a distance on a fine day. The gallery space is worth seeing as well as the view.

Rooftop Sky Deck is an outdoor observation deck located at 270 meters above sea level, the highest in Japan. You can enjoy a 360° view and the refreshing air of Tokyo. A starry sky can be seen on clear nights. Make the most of the open-air deck, a rarity.

Mori Art Museum is located on the 53rd floor of Mori Tower. It is famous for not having a permanent exhibition in order to be always flexible to exhibit what is in vogue. The focus is on international modern art as well as many other genres of art such as paintings, design, architecture, photography. It is open until 10 at night.

Mori Arts Center Gallery is located on the 52nd floor of Mori Tower. They have various exhibitions including planned exhibitions of valuable collections, pop culture exhibitions of modern art, animations and movies.

Many shops and restaurants occupy the area from the second floor through to the fifth floor. There are various kinds of shops from the international brands like ARMANI and DIESEL to fast fashion shops like ZARA. It attracts many people regardless of age or gender.

Sculpture of a Spider
The gigantic spider in Roku Roku Plaza at the foot of Mori Tower is called Maman. This 10-meter-tall sculpture is the work of French artist Louise Bourgeois. Roppongi Hills is planned so as to integrate art with the city. You will encounter many art works here and there.

Keyakizaka Street
The street that runs through the center of Roppongi Hills is called Keyakizaka Street and it stretches about 400 meters. It is gorgeously lined by world’s famous brand shops. The brilliant Christmas illuminations decorate the street from November to December every year.

Mori Garden in Roppongi Hills is a vast site of about 4300 ㎡ which was originally Daimyo Yashiki (Daimyo’s residence) in the Edo era. The greenery serves as an urban oasis in Roppongi, the middle of a large city. It is also a great place to enjoy the cherry blossoms in spring.

Roppongi Hills is decorated with Christmas illuminations from the beginning of November to the end of December every year. Keyakizaka street, Roku Roku Plaza, Mori Garden and Tokyo City View are all covered with colorful dazzling lights and attracts many lovers as a lovers’ sanctuary.

TOHO Cinemas is a cinema complex with nine screens and all assigned seating. They have shows all night long until 5 in the morning on weekends. The highlight here is of course the Premier Screen. You can enjoy seeing a movie relaxed in a luxury space equal to first class seats on a plane.

TV Asahi Headquarters
The headquarters of TV Asahi, the TV network, is located in Roppongi Hills. A corner on the first floor is open to the public. You can buy some original goods from their TV shows at the shop and relax at a cafe overlooking Mori Garden. You might see some Japanese TV stars if you are lucky enough.
