Odori Park

Located in the heart of this beautiful city, Odori Park is an expansive area that extends 1.5 km east to west. Since the park was founded in 1911, it has been an oasis in Sapporo along with the TV Tower that is located at its eastern end. Locals and visitors alike enjoy taking a walk here. The park holds various events throughout the year. In the summer months, it hosts Yosakoi Soran Festival and beer gardens. During the winter, there is the Sapporo Snow Festival which draws many visitors. The park is surrounded by major department stores and restaurants making it a perfect base for sightseeing.

Corn Carts

The corn carts are a specialty of Odori Park. The vendors offer fresh local corn served off the carts. The corn is boiled or grilled right before your eyes, and it is so sweet and scrumptious! They have other delicious gourmet items such as the famous Hokkaido steamed potatoes served with butter.

The enormous masterpieces of show sculpture at the Sapporo Snow Festival are simply overwhelming.
