Nokonoshima Island Park

Nokonoshima is an island in Hakata bay. Nokonoshima Island Park is a 150,000㎡ large park located in the northern part of the island. There are a lot of flower beds of seasonal flowers including cosmos and canola flowers. The scenery of the flowers blooming against the ocean is breathtakingly beautiful and known as a photo shooting spot. There are many noteworthy points in the park such as restaurants, a mini zoo, a playground, and the street called “Omoide Dori” that reproduces the street of Hakata in old days. There are also accommodation facilities for visitors who overstay. You can enjoy an original sports called “Nokonoko Ball” that resembles golf and some pottery experience.

Seasonal Flowers in Full Bloom in the “Flower Garden”

The extensive premises are scattered with some seasonal flower areas consisting of flower beds, flowers and trees. There are many photo shooting spots where you find pretty flowers in full bloom against the blue sea. You can take some sort of fairy-tale like photos surrounded by flowers.

Original Sport: Nokonoko Ball

Nokonoshima Island Park’s famous original sport, Nokonoko Ball is a sport similar to golf and played in a course surrounded by flowers and trees. For a group of 10 or more, a cup for the winner and the award ceremony are available. (500 yen for 9 holes)

Meet Cute Animals at Mini Zoo

“Rabbit Enclosure” and “Goat House” are where you can touch and feed cute animals. The “Goat House” stands on a hill and commands a fine prospect of the sea. It is nice to play with some cute animals after enjoying pretty flowers.

From Meinohama port, take Fukuoka Municipal Ferry. Ride for 10 minutes. Take Nishitetsu bus bound for Island park. Ride for 10 minutes and get off at the last stop. Walk shortly.
