Near the entrance, there is a place where you can dress up in Edo style. There are in total 20 types of costumes such as townspeople, ninja, farmer, samurai, lord, princess, etc (with extra rental fee). You will feel like living in Edo Wonderland as you walk in the Edo city with a costume from the same period.

Work Experience programs where you can try jobs from the Edo period
Inside the park, there are a variety of experience programs available. Elementary school students can try out the ninja experience, samurai swordsmen experience and okappiki police experience. Adults can also try many jobs of the Edo period, such as samurai and archery. You should definitely check them out!

Kai Kai Ninja House is a perfect spot to learn the art of ninja. In the strange house, you will loose the sense of up and down or direction. Try if you can go out without being lost. The big maze, Karakuri Ninja Maze, is also a popular spot for learning the art of ninja. If you can't find a way out, you might be able to find a secret way out!

At Kita Machi Magistrates Office, you can see a humorous play. There are many other performances where you can observe life during the Edo period.

Mesmerizing Oiran Courtesan Procession
At Nihonbashi inside the park, Oiran Courtesan Procession takes place. It is a reproduction of a parade of oiran, who was the best courtesan during the Edo period. Oiran courtesan will walk on the streets of Edo, followed by servants. Why don't you take a picture of the beautifully-dressed oiran, walking elegantly as she crosses her legs.

It is very popular to visit Nikko Edo Wonderland by taking Yakatabune boat led by a boatman. You can enjoy various beautiful views that changes in different seasons. It is also amazing to see the technique of boatman who lead a boat using only one long stick.
