Niigata Senbei Okoku

Niigata prefecture is known as one of the largest rice producing regions in Japan. The amount of production of rice confectionery is also the largest in Japan. Niigata Senbei Okoku (Niigata rice cracker kingdom) is a sightseeing spot in Niigata featuring senbei or the ubiquitous rice crackers. Niigata Senbei Okoku offers visitors opportunities to see employees baking senbei in the factory, try roasting original senbei, and eat some unique dishes made with senbei. There is also a souvenir shop in the facility that sells original goods only available here.

Rice Cracker Roasting Experience, Make your Original

You can make your original senbei here in Niigata Senbei Okoku. Draw your original picture with soy sauce on a large senbei which is about 25 cm in diameter. You can make your own personal, one of its kind senbei in the world. You can take it back home in a special package as a souvenir.
