Mutsu Minato Ekimae Asaichi
Mutsu Minato Ekimae Asaichi (morning market) is well known as the kitchen of Hachinohe and the surrounding cities since the 1950s. 200 to 300 shops are crammed in the area mainly around Shiei-Gyosai Kori Ichiba, city market of fish and vegetables, near Mutsu-Minato Station. Although it’s on a small scale, the market is building it’s reputation as a place to get fresh delicious seafood unique to Hachinohe for reasonable prices. Since there is a tourist information center which is opens from 6:00 am at Mutsu-Minato station, you can ask the staff for recommendations of the morning market.
