Marinepal Yobuko

(Source : )
Situated near the port in Katsuura, Saga, Marinepal Yobuko is a place where you can cruise on sightseeing boats that leave for the sea around Yobuko. The Ika-maru takes you to the Nanatsugama sea cave, which is recognized as a natural treasure. On the other hand, a marine observatory boat called Zeela goes around Takashima. With both boats, you can enjoy the great view of the Genkai Sea. These two sightseeing boats go around the sea that was chosen as the first marine park area in Japan!

Ikamaru: Nanatsugama sightseeing boat

The sightseeing boat, Ikamaru, will take you to a spiritual cave called the Nanatsugama sea cave. Ikamaru slowly goes around the sea of Yobuko for 40 min. Near Nanatsugama sea cave, it is recommended that you to go to the front of the boat to enjoy a thrilling ride outside.

Mythical landscape of the Nanatsugama

You can explore the Nanatsugama sea cave with a sightseeing boat, Ikamaru. Since "Nanatsu" means seven in Japanese, it is thus named because seven caves are created here by erosion. The biggest cave is 110 m deep. Here, you will enjoy a spiritual visit.

Zeela: Marine boat

Zeela is the only marine boat in the north of Kyushu. Inside the boat, there are huge windows on both sides from which you can see fish and marine creatures at 1.2 m deep under the sea. On top of that, you can enjoy the tour under water in any season. Children particularly love this ride!

You can try feeding fish

Near the landing area of Marinepal Yobuko, there is a fish tank where fish of the sea of Genkai are preserved. Here you can experience feeding those fishes. As you reach your hands to feed them, intelligent fishes come near you, knowing that you will give them food. It is surprising how smart they are.
