The western part of Midagahara is called Bijodaira (elevation: 977m) where the virgin forest of Tateyama cedars, beeches, and Southern Japanese Hemlocks grow thickly. The last station of Tateyama Cable Car, Bijodaira Station is located here. People heading for Murododaira change to Kogen Bus from this station.

Take a cable car from Tateyama Station on Toyama Chiho Railway Tateyama line. Ride for about 7 minutes. Get off at Bijodaira.
