The long-standing coffee shop established in 1952, Junkissa Crown is located around 4 minutes’ walk from Fushimi subway station. The coffee shop looks just as it did when it was established. The owner, a woman in her 80s now, has been running this place since she was 18. Customers can enjoy her excellent coffee in a somewhat nostalgic, cozy shop that reminds good old days in Japan. It is also great way to spend time talking with the friendly owner.

The interior of the shop is dimly lit with beautiful glass lights. There are many retro design couches in the shop where orchestral music as BGM adds more nostalgic taste. You might want to stay here for a while leaving the urban hustle and bustle.

“Blend” （350 yen） is the most popular choice. Their coffee is carefully brewed with a nel drip filter. It has a rich aroma and smooth taste. The owner also takes pride in serving the coffee in the retro coffee cups that she has been using since the opening of the shop.

You should try the unique dish “Butter Toast” （350 yen）. The toast done up brown tastes great with rich butter! They have a special offer called “morning time service” from 7:00 to 10:00. Customers who ordered a coffee can have this toast for free.
