Atomic Bomb Dome
The building located near the center of the explosion miraculously has its outer wall and dome intact. It has been preserved as the Atomic Bomb Dome until today. Its exposed framework and half collapsed outer wall convey the horrific power of atomic bombs. It is now a symbol of peace in Hiroshima.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum
This museum provides information on the horrific tragedy that befell Hiroshima. They exhibit the belongings of victims and the wall of the building that was damaged by the bombing. There are some valuable exhibits such as paintings of people or the street in Hiroshima on the day of the attack painted by the citizens of Hiroshima.

Memorial Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims
In the center of the park is a memorial cenotaph for the atomic bomb victims. It says “let all the souls here rest in peace; for we shall not repeat the evil." This is where citizens of Hiroshima pray for peace and hope that there is no war repeated again.

Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims
Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims stands to the north east of the memorial cenotaph. They display the names and photographs of bomb victims. They have a panoramic exhibition recreating the view of the center of explosion using 140,000 panels, to match the number of the victims.

Children’s Peace Monument
The Children’s Peace Monument that stands in the park is dedicated to a girl who died of leukemia from radiation resulted from the atomic bomb. It was built by the girl’s classmates to console all the souls of young victims of the atomic bombing. Thousands of origami cranes are offered around the monument.
