Let's get on the gondola at Soundai station. It has glass-paned windows on all four sides so that all the passengers can enjoy the scenery. The scenes change as the ropeway runs through and you can't miss the scenic beauty of mountains and the town of Hakone with this 360-degree view.
There is a special view point of Mt. Fuji between Gora station and Ubako station. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Fuji in front of your eyes. Mt. Fuji looks bigger when you look at it from the ropeway and it makes the ropeway even more appealing.
From Owakudani station, Owakudani, a volcanic crater can still be seen steaming. This mountain erupted about 3000 years ago and the volcano is still active. The view of white steam shooting out from the crater is magnificent!
Lake Ashi shows itself on the way to the terminal station, Togendai station. It reflects the sparkling sun light on sunny days and looks very beautiful. Lake Ashi also looks spectacular during sunset in the evening.
