Hakone Akakura is a restaurant that is popular for steamed food made with local ingredients. Pigs referred to as “Sanroku pork” raised in the great nature of Hakone play the main role. They are raised with natural feed and water of Hakone and characterized by almost no smell of meat. The restaurant also uses high quality vegetables called Sanroku vegetables, which have a reputation for having an enhanced vegetable flavor thanks to rain water in the mountains of Hakone. This restaurant is close from Lake Ashinoko, one of popular sightseeing spots, so many people including tourists stop by it before visiting the lake.
