Chinrai-ken is a Chinese restaurant in Kure City, Hiroshima, that was established 60 years ago and was the first restaurant in Kure City to serve Kure-reimen cold noodles. Kure-reimen is a local specialty that uses flat and wide springy-textured noodles covered with an exquisite strong-flavored sauce that has a masterful balance of spicy and sweet. This dish was born in 1955 and has become so popular that people crave these cold noodles even in the heart of winter. As a food with simple flavors, nowadays this dish is well loved all across the country. In addition to the signature dish of Kure-reimen, over 30 other kinds of snacks and dishes can be found on the menu at Chinrai-ken.
