Adachi Museum of Art holds more than 1500 pieces of art, made up of mainly modern Japanese paintings as well as ceramic art and sculptures. This museum has 130 pieces by Yokoyama Taikan, the great Japanese painter, and is the only museum that holds such a sizable collection of Taikan. The museum also has a Japanese garden that covers an area of over 165,000 square meters. The garden was named the best Japanese garden in Japan 13 years in a row in an American magazine specializing in Japanese gardens. It also received three stars in the “Michelin Green Guide Japan.” The garden of the museum itself is an artwork.
