Ideal for sightseeing and shopping

Machiya is known as one of Tokyo's shitamachi, basically a downtown area. Other than the glitz of Tokyo, one of the city's charms is finding old, wooden houses and restaurants that seem to transport you to the past. Machiya is wonderful if you want to experience the old and the new.
Machiya station, which is a 5-minute walk from the Residential Hotel, is well connected with three train lines - Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line, Keisei Line and the Toden Arakawa Line, the only tram line in Tokyo. You can take a bus up to Sensoji, Asakusa, one of the most popular tourist spots in Tokyo.
